Hi gals and guys! It’s been a while since I wrote a blog post, I’ve been on vacation! I know, I know, no one wants to hear how AMAZING the weather was in Fort Lauderdale, but seriously, it was amazing.
If you’re in your 20s and haven’t gone on vacation with your parents as an adult, I highly recommend it. You guys, parents are awesome! (at least mine are?!) We decided a week and a half before our departure that we were going to take a mini trip and it was the best decision…EVER!
Let’s get into some looks I had going on and my favorite spots in Fort Lauderdale! I am seriously considering Florida now for my future because of how nice it was this past week.
On our first day, also our traveling day, we stopped at a lunch spot before checking into our hotel. The place was called Rocco’s Taco’s and it was SO GOOD! I unfortunately don’t have any pics of my food or drinks but trust me on this one, it was some good food and a great atmosphere.
Later on our first full day, we sat by the hotel food and then decided to head out on the town. We were going to go to the movies, but everything was sold out! Instead, we got a light dinner (or it was supposed to be light) because we had had a big lunch at Rocco’s Taco’s. We went to a place called Flash Fire Pizza and it was sort of near the mall. I wasn’t sure about the place when we first drove by, but when we went inside, I was pleasantly surprised! It was a pizza and wine bar so (yay). We were able to all order our own personal pizza and get a glass of wine to go with it. It came out to be only about $15 per person, I highly recommend it if you’re ever in the area!
After traveling in the morning, walking around and eating, we were ready to turn in!
On our first full day, we opted to walk the Fort Lauderdale strip and Las Olas Boulevard! I knew we were going to do a lot of walking, so I packed my Adidas. Thank God too because we did do a TON of walking this day! I paired it with a simple T-shirt dress from H&M that I snagged this winter for $5! Later that day, we laid at the hotel pool and then got ready to go out for dinner!
On day two for dinner, we went to a restaurant called B-Square Burgers & Booze. Connecticut people, this place reminded me a lot of Plan B Burger that has locations around CT! I decided to not get a burger (I know-, lame) but I got a really good chicken bacon avocado sandwich on Texas toast and the fries were amazing! After dinner we went to a place I am newly OBSESSED with called Ann’s Florist and Coffee Bar. It was the cutest little place and they had T-shirts for sale—I got one that says “Oui Oui Coffee” and I am so happy I got it. I wish we had something remotely as cute as this back in CT. We got coffee and cake pops after dinner and then we turned in for the evening!
Day three was beach day! The weather was amazing our entire trip, but this was supposed to be the nicest day, and it was! Though it was a little windy on the beach, we managed, especially knowing that it was only 20 degrees back home. We spent all day on the beach and then we went back and got ready for dinner/happy hour! This was the most fun day that I had with my parents and I am glad I got to experience such a good time with them! We headed to The Drunken Taco and then to Spazzio’s for some drinks and food.
Day 4: Mall and Heading Home
Day four was our last day so we decided to hit the outlet mall before we boarded our plane to come home! We went to the Sawgrass Mills outlet mall in Sunrise, Florida and it was such a nice place! It was an indoor/outdoor outlet mall with some crazy sales. Check below for some more of my fave pics and moments.
A huge thank you to my parents for letting me crash your vaca, love you guys!
