Commuting, working, pursuing, surviving

DSC_0108Okay so I may have had a little breakdown in my car this afternoon, but here we are–I am relaxing and writing a post, so I’m thriving (kinda).

Honestly, I think I deserve a breakdown, though. I am a college grad working three jobs just to stay afloat, follow my passion and make that moulaaaaa. You’d have a mental breakdown too (:

Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t change my life for the world, but sometimes I need a GOOD cry. I was leaving my second job, on my way to my third, realized I was about to run out of gas and wouldn’t have time to get any for the next two days because of my schedule. Hello, breakdown!

How I prep my skin for the cold using Aveeno products

IMG_1134.JPG

Just in time for time for the colder weather, a package from Aveeno showed up on my doorstep!

Two years ago when I was having trouble with my skin, I went to the dermatologist and she recommended some Aveeno products to me. Ever since that day, I have been hooked on this quality, affordable and clean drugstore brand. I got my mom hooked on it, my roommate and even my boyfriend! All of their products are so gentle that you simply cannot go wrong. Their facial cleanser and clear complexion moisturizer cleared up the problems I was having with my skin at the time so I am forever loyal to them!

Before receiving these three products, I had been using their clear complexion moisturizer anyways and now, I just have more Aveeno products to add to my collection! Let’s get into them:

Styleweek NE Fall 2018 Review + More!

IMG_1052.JPG

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are all enjoying this FALL weekend that we are having, I know I am!

I had a really exciting day yesterday, and I would like to share the details of it with you.

I was nicely invited to cover this year’s Styleweek Northeast as press, so of course I had to go to not only show my support of these amazing local, New England designers, but also to take note and share my experience along with the designs I saw!

Let’s get right into it, shall we?

My Favorite Transitional Mules

Happy Wednesday everyone!

How’s everyone’s week? Mine has been FAB! I just started a new position in New York City so I’m very excited and eager to be there. It’s been a lot of fun so far and I’m learning a lot. I was thinking of starting a segment on here called Commuting Diaries since I currently 2.5 hours per day, each way to get to work! What better way to pass the time on the train than to blog? I thought so, nothing! I’m thinking of recapping interesting parts of my day, stories about commuting (I am sure I’ll have many) and just anything on my mind as I am on the train. It might be a lifestyle, motivational, uplifting but comical part of my blog. Plus, it’ll help me pass the time and that is needed.

Fall Jackets + Hello!

IMG_0692.JPG

Hi everyone!! It’s been a couple weeks since I last wrote a blog post and I think that’s because I am having a bit of an idea block lately. I have some ideas for blogs that I want to execute but now is not the time, so that leaves me like (……).

Anyways, the last time I blogged it was hot, today it’s cold. Somehow in a couple of weeks it went from Summer to Fall and honestly, I am kind of okay with it! I thought I’d check in today to say what’s up and that I am already stocking up on my fall jackets.

My Most + Least Worn Items in my Closet

IMG_0419.jpg

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying this summer weekend—they are numbered for sure!

Today I wanted to write a cool post that I think a lot of you will be interested in reading—My Most and Least Worn Items in my Closet! I think we can all identify with the fact that our closets (those beasts) are FILLED and with stuff that we automatically go to and thennnnn there’s the stuff that we almost never wear…but can’t get rid of!

Let’s dive right in! I broke it down to categories: my most and least worn: skirt, dress, pair of shorts, shirt, jacket, shoe, purse and earring! There are obviously more shirts that I wear a lot and more pants, but looking at my closet in the moment today, this is what I pulled!

How I Maintain my Long Natural Nails

IMG_0320.JPG

Hey everyone!

Today I wanted to talk about my nails because I get a lot of questions about them! I shamelessly will stop into the nail salon from time to time to get an occasional regular manicure for the sole reason that the nail technician usually compliments me on my nails…. (: Modest, I know!

All jokes aside, I really do get questions on how I keep them so long. They’re 100% mine and usually don’t have gel polish on them!

Spots I’ve Taken Outfit Pics In CT!

IMG_0279

Hi everyone and Happy Monday!

Today I am sharing some of the spots that I’ve had luck taking photos at in the past. For bloggers, you have to have this shield over you when you’re taking pics because 9/10 times there will be either one or more people staring at you while you strike a pose. I have honestly gotten over it and it never really bothered me that much in the first place. It’s like yeah, I have a good outfit on, this is a cool background and I’m trying to grow my blog…is that cool with you? If not, keep walking. If you’re interested, here take my business card!

That leads me to WHERE these places are! I am based in CT, so most of these places are in Connecticut or surrounding areas. I hope this helps!

Bedroom decor: see my faves from MY room!

IMG_0220.JPG

So lately I’ve been obsessed with bloggers showing their readers their apartments and I wanted to do something like that myself!

While I currently live at home, since I just graduated college, I still have my own space and I really love it!

Throughout college my room went through a transformation—it seemed like every time I came home on break, something about my room was different! One time, if you can believe it, my parents had painted my room a dusty pink! After the initial shock of my room being a different color set in, I actually really loved it.

During the winter in my senior year, my mom and I started going to Marshall’s and Burlington to see what we could find for my new, very grown up bedroom. I think what we found (and are still finding) are awesome pieces that I will hopefully have and cherish no matter where I move in the future.

Let me take you on a tour of my most favorite parts of my room at home!
