How I edit my Instagram Photos

IMG_6678.PNG

Hi everyone!

I decided to do a screen recording of how I edit my Instagram photos because I only really use Instagram to edit my pictures. A lot of the time I hear of bloggers using multiple apps to edit and then taking the photo to Instagram, but I see no faults with Instagram’s editing tools!

I have this feeling that when I transfer a picture from app to app, that it loses a lot of its quality. However, if you minimize the amount of times the photo has to be transferred and uploaded again, it has a better chance of keeping its original quality. I don’t even know if that is true, but it feels like it is to me.

SO, with that in mind, below is HOW I edit my Instagram pictures using JUST Instagram! Watch the video below and then refer to the steps below the video for any qualifications on what I did.

10 Times over the Past 10 Years Kim K was my Ultimate Fashion Inspo

If you know me, you know I love Kim K. Call me crazy, but I seriously love those Kardashian gals.

Why? Well, since they are coming up on their 10th year anniversary, that means I’ve been watching them on TV since I was 11 (yes, against my parents wishes and probably demands). However, all that aside, the Kardashians have the best style that is constantly changing with the trends, but they some how always manage to stay true to themselves. Not to mention, they are super confident in themselves, the shape of their bodies and work hard to get there.

Since they just came up on their 10th anniversary of Keeping up with the Kardashians, I thought I’d try a new type of post and do 10 times in the past 10 years that Kim K was my fashion spirit animal: lets get to it!

My September Faves

IMG_1656You guys! How am I already reflecting back on September? The month just flew by. Luckily for me (and I hope you too) I had a really good month! So much has happened this past month: I moved into my senior year of college, I started a new internship, I attended StyleWeek Northeast and Her Campus College Fashion Week…whoa.

Not only has September been good for the mind, it’s been good for the closet…and the makeup drawer, which I assume you could tell from my last post (aka goodie bag!)

Anyways, I would like to wrap up the month as any fashion/beauty obsessed human would do — that’s right, it’s time for my faves of this month. Here we go!

Getting your last Summer looks in

IMG_1226 copy

Welcome everyone to my new post! Though it’s hard to admit, summer is coming to an end.

However, what does that mean for us? FALL is coming (well, in New England it is!) Besides summer style, fall is one of my faves — there is just so much you can do between the scarves, hats, vests and cute boots…so I cannot wait!

So since we are saying goodbye to summer for now, I thought I’d close with an outfit I absolutely loved this season! Continue reading

Making the Summer to Fall Transition Pt. 3!

DSC_9866

What’s up everyone! It’s been a couple of days since I posted parts 1 and 2 of this amazing transition series I planned for you — I just moved into my senior year of college at Roger Williams University so I have been so busy.

Aside from that, let’s get to talking about this outfit that I am so in love with. The best part? Both parts of this look, (jumpsuit and shoes) came from 2 of my most favorite boutiques that I cannot wait to rave about to you guys!!

Why this look works for the transition: The jumpsuit (which you can see all about where I got it below) is a heavier fabric but it is completely open in the front (hello breeze) and the sleeves are rolled so it is a lighter look. The shoes are an interesting twist on regular flats and they expose a lot of the foot so I think I will only be able to get away with them until October. I think mixing two pieces that work for summer and early fall make for the perfect transition outfit! I did no jewelry with this because I wanted it to be all about these two statement pieces and I also did a slicked down pony to add to the simplicity.

Making the Summer to Fall Transition Pt. 2!

DSC_9854

Not only is it Fri-yay, but it is also time for Part 2 of my outfit transitions from summer to fall!

Let’s jump right into it!

I think that this outfit works for the transition because it is a little warmer but with the rolled jeans and the heeled clogs (that are open back) I think this can still pass for early fall. The top is not heavy enough to call it a sweater but it is definitely a little warmer — however, the sheer sleeves keep it light. I am really obsessed with this top from New York & Company (I linked a similar top from the same collection) because it is so versatile — I originally got it to wear to my internship (which I am going to do), but I think it is fun and flirty enough to pair with jeans or even a longer pencil skirt.

Making the Summer to Fall Transition Pt. 1

My favorite time of year is approaching — the transition from summer to fall! The weather is a little cooler, pumpkin everything is BACK and fashion is at an all time high (no coats, darker colors come back AND you can still get away with sandals!).

I also want to take a moment to talk about the photos that go along with this post — they were taken by Hailey Wilson, owner of Hiked Productions Co. based in Connecticut! She is an extremely talented photographer and I am so beyond lucky to have witnessed her work. Click the link to explore more of her photos and I promise you’ll be so impressed! I live for working with other people and being able to support other’s dreams and journey’s.

Let’s talk about this outfit!
