Happy Sunday all!!
I’ve been MIA on the blog lately…….
I write when I am inspired, I write when I have time and I write because I want to. Sadly and unfortunately, I haven’t had any of that recently. However, instead of being upset about it (I was for like, 2 mins), I’m just going to accept it and move on.
That’s why, I am writing to you TODAY! It’s a Sunday and I have nothing to do, so I am going to write…about Valentine’s Day of all things! I know last year I put out two gift guides, and that was awesome and you all really liked it. However, when I think about what I just wrote about inspiration, I did not feel inspired to write a gift guide this year and here’s why…
Valentine’s Day is awesome and for the most part, I really enjoy it. Mostly because I am in a relationship and have a reason to celebrate love, but also because a day devoted to love and commitment is really nice and chivalrous in a way, which we don’t see much of anymore.
However, I wanted to just go back to the basics this Valentine’s Day and instead of promote my favorite things and the best gifts, just talk about ways to share an evening with the person you love.
I get home from work really late every night so I don’t get to see my significant other as much as I would like. That’s why this Valentine’s Day, if he dropped by with some roses and a hug and asked me to hangout and watch one of our Netflix shows, I would be more than happy with that idea of a V-Day. Come the weekend, if we wanted to grab a bite to eat and share a glass of wine together, I would love that too. It seems like this year more than any year, the holidays, my birthday and Valentine’s Day all seem really close together. The last thing I need is another gift — if I am being completely honest. (I’ll regret saying that when it’s the middle of July and I’ve gone gift-less for five months and still have another 6 gift-less months ahead of me). I guess it’s because the fact that I am working full time now, time just seems to fly by. The bottom line is, what I want most this Valentine’s Day is to spend time with my guy, enjoy a glass of wine and relax. I’d like to reflect on love, and that’s how I am taking it back to the basics this year.
No gift guide, no favorite things — just plain ol’ blogging and loving.
The best way to spread Christmas cheer is to…have a really good outfit! …I hope you all just enjoyed my ‘Elf’ reference with a little bit of my own spin! In all seriousness though, it’s a couple days until the Christmas festivities begin (if they haven’t already) and a good holiday outfit never goes unnoticed!
I compiled three outfits to feature for you all today in hopes of sparking some holiday outfit inspo so that you’re sure to be looking good when you see a bunch of people you don’t normally run into! Let’s get started!!
Hi everyone! It’s officially one week until Christmas, which means it’s about that time to quit procrastinating, and wrap those darn gifts! Over the years I’ve come to realize that people either LOVE to wrap or they absolutely dread it. Me? I love it!
Ever since I was little, I always helped my mom and my grandma wrap gifts and I’ve come to enjoy it. There’s something completely satisfying about turing a gift you got someone into a pretty present and seeing it come together.
Since my wrapping technique works for me, I decided it is a good time to share it with all of you. Who is ready? Let’s get wrapping:
Good morning loves!
Today I am bringing you a look that is both cute and casual! I think it’s super fun to dress up sometimes and super comfy to dress down—however, if you’re anything like me, it’s hard to find the balance in between. For this outfit I did a mixture of pieces. Comfy? The tee shirt & jeans! Cute? The jacket and thigh high boots! Let’s get into the details of this look!
Today I’m talking faux fur! I had a feeling faux fur was going to be in this year, and I was right! This jacket is really cute—but there’s a story behind it…of course! Back in September, I was gifted a gift card from Citizen’s Bank through social media, for Amazon! I was so excited, and wanted to use it to do a little Amazon clothing haul. I ordered three items, this coat being one of them. Two weeks after I ordered, the first two items came (from China) and they were so small, poor quality, and looking NOTHING like how they were displayed. This coat was shipped separately and JUST came last week!! Though it took a long time, I was really happy with the fact that it fit, it’s super cute and nice quality. Enough with the back story, let’s get into this look!
Happy shopping weekend, shoppers!
I don’t know about you, but I accidentally went Black Friday shopping, when I had zero intentions of going Black Friday shopping. Let’s just say, I am happy I went, but my bank account is not happy.
However, had I not gone shopping, this amazing, comfy, over-sized sweater would have never entered my life, and that would have been tragic.
SO let’s talk about this look! Some of my fave outfits have actually just been thrown together last minute, and this was one of those outfits.
Hey everyone! I love a good Sunday Funday, just as much as the next person! However, Sundays for me usually consist of cracking down and doing some homework. Especially with the Thanksgiving break coming up, I am pretty sure every college student can relate to the struggle this week.
Anyways, just because I am missing out on the fun this Sunday, doesn’t mean you have to! That is why I want to highlight this outfit that is PERF for any relaxing Sunday. It’s comfy and casual, but you may need to add a jacket.
Let’s get to it!
Hi friends! I hope everyone has been having a great week. For me, the weeks have just been flying by.
In order for me to have a fulfilled week, I always like to work on my blog — my blog is relaxing because it is something I love to do so it keeps me sane!
It got awfully chilly here in Rhode Island this week, the chill came out of no where! That is why for this outfit, I am showing off my favorite winter coat. When I got this coat, I envisioned myself in “Confessions of a Shopaholic” when the main character is strutting down the street in her houndstooth coat. Lucky for me, I got this as a Christmas gift (thanks Mom & Dad!!)
Welcome back, everyone!! I have been under the weather lately, but I am feeling much better today so I am inspired to write this blog post about being bold!
I am loving this outfit — it is simple, but has a bit of flare, so let’s get started talking about it.
