Gift Wrapping: Love It or Hate It

IMG_3481

Hi everyone! It’s officially one week until Christmas, which means it’s about that time to quit procrastinating, and wrap those darn gifts! Over the years I’ve come to realize that people either LOVE to wrap or they absolutely dread it. Me? I love it!

Ever since I was little, I always helped my mom and my grandma wrap gifts and I’ve come to enjoy it. There’s something completely satisfying about turing a gift you got someone into a pretty present and seeing it come together.

Since my wrapping technique works for me, I decided it is a good time to share it with all of you. Who is ready? Let’s get wrapping:

Faux & Fab

IMG_3035

Hey loves!

Today I’m talking faux fur! I had a feeling faux fur was going to be in this year, and I was right! This jacket is really cute—but there’s a story behind it…of course! Back in September, I was gifted a gift card from Citizen’s Bank through social media, for Amazon! I was so excited, and wanted to use it to do a little Amazon clothing haul. I ordered three items, this coat being one of them. Two weeks after I ordered, the first two items came (from China) and they were so small, poor quality, and looking NOTHING like how they were displayed. This coat was shipped separately and JUST came last week!! Though it took a long time, I was really happy with the fact that it fit, it’s super cute and nice quality. Enough with the back story, let’s get into this look!

Happy shopping weekend, shoppers!

I don’t know about you, but I accidentally went Black Friday shopping, when I had zero intentions of going Black Friday shopping. Let’s just say, I am happy I went, but my bank account is not happy.

However, had I not gone shopping, this amazing, comfy, over-sized sweater would have never entered my life, and that would have been tragic.

SO let’s talk about this look! Some of my fave outfits have actually just been thrown together last minute, and this was one of those outfits.

With that being said, let’s dive into this ultra fall look!

Making the Summer to Fall Transition Pt. 3!

DSC_9866

What’s up everyone! It’s been a couple of days since I posted parts 1 and 2 of this amazing transition series I planned for you — I just moved into my senior year of college at Roger Williams University so I have been so busy.

Aside from that, let’s get to talking about this outfit that I am so in love with. The best part? Both parts of this look, (jumpsuit and shoes) came from 2 of my most favorite boutiques that I cannot wait to rave about to you guys!!

Why this look works for the transition: The jumpsuit (which you can see all about where I got it below) is a heavier fabric but it is completely open in the front (hello breeze) and the sleeves are rolled so it is a lighter look. The shoes are an interesting twist on regular flats and they expose a lot of the foot so I think I will only be able to get away with them until October. I think mixing two pieces that work for summer and early fall make for the perfect transition outfit! I did no jewelry with this because I wanted it to be all about these two statement pieces and I also did a slicked down pony to add to the simplicity.
