If you know me, you know I love Kim Kardashian West, always have, always will. That’s why, whenever she comes out with another product that I am interested in, I have to test it out.Continue reading
HI EVERYONE! It’s been a while xx
I’ve been so busy in the best best way ever and I feel like I want to use this post to not only catch up, but also talk about my most favorite basic but classic outfit.
Happy Sunday all!!
I’ve been MIA on the blog lately…….
I write when I am inspired, I write when I have time and I write because I want to. Sadly and unfortunately, I haven’t had any of that recently. However, instead of being upset about it (I was for like, 2 mins), I’m just going to accept it and move on.
That’s why, I am writing to you TODAY! It’s a Sunday and I have nothing to do, so I am going to write…about Valentine’s Day of all things! I know last year I put out two gift guides, and that was awesome and you all really liked it. However, when I think about what I just wrote about inspiration, I did not feel inspired to write a gift guide this year and here’s why…
Valentine’s Day is awesome and for the most part, I really enjoy it. Mostly because I am in a relationship and have a reason to celebrate love, but also because a day devoted to love and commitment is really nice and chivalrous in a way, which we don’t see much of anymore.
However, I wanted to just go back to the basics this Valentine’s Day and instead of promote my favorite things and the best gifts, just talk about ways to share an evening with the person you love.
I get home from work really late every night so I don’t get to see my significant other as much as I would like. That’s why this Valentine’s Day, if he dropped by with some roses and a hug and asked me to hangout and watch one of our Netflix shows, I would be more than happy with that idea of a V-Day. Come the weekend, if we wanted to grab a bite to eat and share a glass of wine together, I would love that too. It seems like this year more than any year, the holidays, my birthday and Valentine’s Day all seem really close together. The last thing I need is another gift — if I am being completely honest. (I’ll regret saying that when it’s the middle of July and I’ve gone gift-less for five months and still have another 6 gift-less months ahead of me). I guess it’s because the fact that I am working full time now, time just seems to fly by. The bottom line is, what I want most this Valentine’s Day is to spend time with my guy, enjoy a glass of wine and relax. I’d like to reflect on love, and that’s how I am taking it back to the basics this year.
No gift guide, no favorite things — just plain ol’ blogging and loving.
Happy Wednesday everyone!! As I am preparing to turn 23 tomorrow, I wanted to come on here and share a few of my favorite things of 2019 so far!! I got a ton of stuff for Christmas that I am loving and found some old gems that I’ve found a new appreciation for. Let’s get started!!!!
Hey allllll! What’s up?! It’s been SUPER hot here in CT. We just came off I think a 10 day heat wave. Even though it’s not technically a heat wave still, it’s super hot. I don’t even get what constitutes as a ‘heat wave’ I just know it’s a little too hot for my liking.
Today I am sharing a post I have been thinking about writing for a while, and it is about all the dresses I’ve turned into shirts over the years!
You know when you get a T-shirt dress on sale at Forever 21 or a store like it and you think, “this is so cute, and it’s really cheap too!” Well, that feeling lasts for…just about the first time you wear it and then never again after that.
Hi everyone! How are you all doing? I am almost at 100 followers here on WordPress and honestly, I cannot believe it. I am so excited you are all enjoying my content enough to follow along—so it means a lot to me!
Today I am sharing How I Shop on a Budget. My friends, family and sometimes people I don’t even know that well are always asking me, how do you have such nice clothes but you confess that you don’t spend a lot of money?
Well, I will let you in on my BIG secret. Here it goes (and you may think this is wacky, but it’s how ya girl stays on a budget): I have little price-points in my head for every article of clothing and if it meets that price-point or falls below it, I will usually get it (and that’s only if I am completely in love with the item or actually need it). If it’s above, well it better be a MUST HAVE or I am NOT getting it. Below I will share my price points for different clothing items that the price MUST fall below. *This is for everyday/weekend wear (meaning, if it is an important event, no, I don’t cap my dress price at $25.)*
Hey there everyone! Today I am bringing you a blog post I have been wanting to write for a while, but it was never the right time!
Up until this past week, I lived at college in Rhode Island. That means that half my stuff was always at school, while the other half was at home. It bothered me sooooo much that my stuff was not all in the same place. However, now that I have moved back home while I job search, all of my stuff is in the same place again (haven’t had this feeling since highschool) and that includes all my makeup, hair and skin products! YAY!
All that being said, it was time to go through all of my stuff and see what I use, what I should use more and what I don’t use. By those categories, I was able to organize my things in their respective places in a way that works for my life. Let’s get started!
Hi everyone! Long time no blog! Today I wanted to share my newest finds and purchases because well, I have been using these 4 things religiously! I love when I purchase something and it really impacts my every day life, because that means it was an investment. I almost laugh at the word investment because I never purchase anything over $20…but for me, investment.
Happy Second Tuesday in May everyone!! Last night was the First Monday in May (a.k.a.: the date that the Met Gala is on every single year!)
If you’re like me, you were keeping up with the Met Gala Red Carpet on E! News as it was happening. I am assuming people that were not watching, were definitely staying tuned via social media.
Each year the Met Gala has a theme that is chosen by Editor-in-Chief at Vogue, Anna Wintour and her team of fashion peeps. This year the theme was Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. Past years the themes have been, 2017: Comme des Garçons, 2016: Manus x Machina, 2015: China: Through the looking glass. This year’s theme, having to do with religion, had potential to be controversial—but that’s just what fashion aims to do—push the envelope.
If you follow me on Instagram, then you know I was taking polls on my Insta stories last night! I asked all my followers what they thought of celebs outfits and they voted accordingly! It was so cool to see what you guys thought of the looks too. You also would have seen the little fact I wrote, that my FIRST EVER blog post, four YEARS ago was actually my review of the 2014 Met Gala: Fashion Live from the Red Carpet. SO it was only fitting that I write a review, four years later on the same thing. I unfortunately have deleted the post (sad, I know, I would have LOVED to go back and read what I wrote) but I did a big clean out when I started to get really serious about blogging.
Now that we have a sense of background for the event, let’s get into the looks of the night. I had a lot of ‘LOVEs’ a couple ‘EHs’ and a handful of ‘NO WAYs’. Tonight I am just going to feature my LOVEs because I believe that even though I did not like a look, that doesn’t mean the design was not beautiful or that other people did not love it! Fashion is all about self expression, so putting someone down for what they decided to wear on their body is not what I am interested for this blog post.
