Bedroom decor: see my faves from MY room!

IMG_0220.JPG

So lately I’ve been obsessed with bloggers showing their readers their apartments and I wanted to do something like that myself!

While I currently live at home, since I just graduated college, I still have my own space and I really love it!

Throughout college my room went through a transformation—it seemed like every time I came home on break, something about my room was different! One time, if you can believe it, my parents had painted my room a dusty pink! After the initial shock of my room being a different color set in, I actually really loved it.

During the winter in my senior year, my mom and I started going to Marshall’s and Burlington to see what we could find for my new, very grown up bedroom. I think what we found (and are still finding) are awesome pieces that I will hopefully have and cherish no matter where I move in the future.

Let me take you on a tour of my most favorite parts of my room at home!

Burnt orange is the new black

IMG_0197.JPGHi everyone and happy Sunday! I hope everyone is resting up for the week ahead, that’s what Sundays are for, right!?

I’m here chatting today about my new go-to color: burnt orange! I really used to not know how I felt about it until I started wearing it more often and people keep saying, “that’s your color” so, I’ll take their word for it and go with it!

Taking an outfit from day to night

IMG_9942.JPG

Hi people! How is everyone’s week going?!

Today I am on my blog sharing how I can take one outfit from day to night with just a couple little outfit switch-outs.

Sometimes us gals on the go need some tips in order to 1. keep our sanity 2. save on time and 3. stay looking fab. Ever been out all. day. long and think, “well, I have something to do tonight, how the heck am I supposed to change from this to something completely different without going home in between? I don’t have time to stop home!”

You don’t have to!

Chatting about my FAVE Influencers!

Hi everyone! I thought I’d come on here today to chat about my favorite influencers. As someone who is in the blogging sphere, I sure love to dive into the articles and videos of others. Not only do these beauties inspire me each and every day to keep at it with my blog, but the content they come up with is just awesome! I LOVE seeing other people’s adventures, the products they use and how they style their outfits.

Let’s get into it, shall we?!

Ten Facts About Me

DSC_0119.JPGHi everyone!

I realized a couple days ago actually that I have NEVER done a ‘get to know me’ post! I have my about page on my website, but I’ve never addressed certain personal matters that could be interesting!

I personally LOVE when other bloggers have a Q&A or a 10 Facts post (maybe I’m just super nosey?), so I thought that would be a fun thing for me to do as well.

My newest finds + purchases

IMG_7638.JPG

Hi everyone! Long time no blog! Today I wanted to share my newest finds and purchases because well, I have been using these 4 things religiously! I love when I purchase something and it really impacts my every day life, because that means it was an investment. I almost laugh at the word investment because I never purchase anything over $20…but for me, investment.

Reviewing the 2018 Met Gala

F2B18089-82EB-4C45-B5D6-41D45578A058.JPGHappy Second Tuesday in May everyone!! Last night was the First Monday in May (a.k.a.: the date that the Met Gala is on every single year!)

If you’re like me, you were keeping up with the Met Gala Red Carpet on E! News as it was happening. I am assuming people that were not watching, were definitely staying tuned via social media.

Each year the Met Gala has a theme that is chosen by Editor-in-Chief at Vogue, Anna Wintour and her team of fashion peeps. This year the theme was Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. Past years the themes have been, 2017: Comme des Garçons, 2016: Manus x Machina, 2015: China: Through the looking glass. This year’s theme, having to do with religion, had potential to be controversial—but that’s just what fashion aims to do—push the envelope.

If you follow me on Instagram, then you know I was taking polls on my Insta stories last night! I asked all my followers what they thought of celebs outfits and they voted accordingly! It was so cool to see what you guys thought of the looks too. You also would have seen the little fact I wrote, that my FIRST EVER blog post, four YEARS ago was actually my review of the 2014 Met Gala: Fashion Live from the Red Carpet. SO it was only fitting that I write a review, four years later on the same thing. I unfortunately have deleted the post (sad, I know, I would have LOVED to go back and read what I wrote) but I did a big clean out when I started to get really serious about blogging.

Now that we have a sense of background for the event, let’s get into the looks of the night. I had a lot of ‘LOVEs’ a couple ‘EHs’ and a handful of ‘NO WAYs’. Tonight I am just going to feature my LOVEs because I believe that even though I did not like a look, that doesn’t mean the design was not beautiful or that other people did not love it! Fashion is all about self expression, so putting someone down for what they decided to wear on their body is not what I am interested for this blog post.

My Three Favorite Stores and Why

DSC_6313.JPG

Blazer & shoes from Charlotte Russe, Jeans from Zara and tank from Marshalls (I think!!?) Sunglasses from Forever 21 which I LOOOOVE! Colourpop on the lips xo

Hi everyone!

Lately when I come up for an idea for a post, I think to myself, would this headline make me want to read the article? I think it is a really useful tactic for writers to do because if I myself wouldn’t read it, what would make my readers want to?

With this in mind, I am channeling a LOT of the questions I get asked by my friends and acquaintances. My friends always ask me what stores I shop at, where I get my clothes and how I get them for so cheap. (Shopping the sales will be its own post!)

For now, let’s get into my three favorite stores to shop at — or shall I say, the three stores I shop at the most, that do the job, are trendy and affordable.

Jumping the Gun on Spring

IMG_6374.JPGLong time, no blog! Or so it seems…

Okay I am officially O V E R this weather, anyone else? It is still FREEZING here in Connecticut and I have had enough. That’s why on my spring break this past week, I did a lot of spring shopping. Shopping for spring when it’s cold doesn’t help with the fact that I am over this weather, but it is still here.
